Final Stats for March

April 1, 2007 at 6:52 pm 3 comments

March is over and I have the final results of ChileHardware and TecnoSquad.

ChileHardware received 524978 readers, of which about 75% live in Chile. We´ve been working out the ratio between local and foreign visitors, because sooner or later we are going to crash a wall on local visitors. Considering that Chile has only 15-16M people, we are covering about 2.5% of the total population. Our pageviews are growing but they are still not that good, only about 1.5 million. There are some tweaks to be done, like writing articles of same length in smaller pages and encouraging our readers to navigate and explore our website. Now with the new Joomla! CMS, we should increase our Google PR because of it´s much better SEO tools.

Stats

TecnoSquad has not done as good as CHW, but let´s face it, it´s just a baby. 36972 unique visitors came across TecnoSquad, this is not a new record, is just 500 visits behind our February stats, but it has an explanation: March was a month for making some editorial changes. New editors joined us, and they are starting to get used to writing more often. This week we should start to do some advertising at big traffic discussion forums, we had a great deal for 5M impressions banner. Lets hope it works.

At least we’re still growing over at TS, now that I’ve finally organized my schedules I’ll be able to start writing again 😉

And it’s unfair to compare January with March, after all we had the CES and iPhone announcement on these days, which accounted for a ton of visits.

Well.. that’s it, I never thought I’d have such a hard time writing in English, guess I’m kind of rusty after almost two years without a decent English class.

P.S.: Nice blog, keep it up

  • […] ChileHardware has, and start building up traffic for TecnoSquad and MexHardware. We started an advertising campaign which I hope works out. This will be a tough job, but I love it, it´s like the first day of school […]
